Leadership Cohorts

In it's second year, the Leadership Development Cohorts are a place for emerging and/or senior leaders at ALDS schools to come together with one another to learn and grow as leaders in this space.  Facilitated by two certified leadership coaches with a strong affinity to ALDS schools, these cohorts are an excellent way to support your new and veteran leaders!  There are three options in the Leadership Development Cohort.  The Accelerator program is a full year program and the most robust of the three.  This program will include special guest presentations from experienced ALDS school leaders as well as 1-1 coaching throughout the year.  The Intensive programs are semester long programs that begin in October and end in January.  These programs include four 90-minute sessions.  We hope to run two separate Intensive cohorts, one for senior leaders and one for emerging leaders.  

New this year, ALDS is also offering a second option for school leaders to come together in this space.  The ALDS Mastermind Leadership Program will provide a structured space for collaborative problem solving, peer learning, and professional growth.  This program will not include a leadership curriculum or direct instruction in leadership skills.  Instead, it will be a place that allows participants to partake in collaborative discussion alongside professional leadership coaches as facilitators.

Math Leadership Project Cohorts

Also in it's second year, the Math Leadership Project consists of 3-hour sessions where ALDS schools learn high-leverage math instructional practices that foster student-centered classrooms.  With a curriculum designed around the Building Thinking Classrooms Toolkits, the Math Leadership Project supports school leaders, instructional coaches, and teacher leaders in their growth of math practices.  With only ALDS schools leaders in this cohort, breakout discussions lead to idea sharing and collaboration in a space unlike any other.  ALDS is offering two cohorts this year, one for leaders who are new to the program and one for leaders who participated last year and wish to continue their learning.  Each registration comes with one named school leaders who can bring up to 3 teachers each session, as desired.

It has been an incredible opportunity to discuss ideas with other coaches and teachers who are working in similar LD contexts. Ed Tech / AI Integration Cohort

New this year, ALDS is partnering with Knowing Technologies for an EdTech Leadership Program.  This cohort will build skills to support every learner with AI and EdTech.  Monthly programs will include an opportunity to learn tools to support our learners and time to collaborate with fellow cohort members on ideas to use in the classroom.  This cohort is designed for school leaders, teacher leaders, and instructional technology integration team members.  As part of the partnership, schools can also opt for additional 1-1 coaching opportunities with the teach from Knowing Technologies.  Click here for more information and to register.
